Christmas Village 2025

Having been fascinated by the Christmas villages on display in garden centres for years, I finally decided to start my own collection of Christmas village pieces this year. It's something I intend to grow until I can rival the garden centres and hope to document the village's growth from a tiny hamlet to a sprawling metropolis.

(While I originally intended to make this blog tech oriented, considering I haven't posted in almost 2 years, I might as well get some use out of it! That said, wanting to create this post did persuade me to add support for tags.)

Christmas Village 2025

When setting up Christmas village sets previously, I have always put down a snow-effect covering, and definitely feel this current set up is a little cold. However, we'd been hoping to move house this weekend and only found out last week that would have to be postponed. As such, our Christmas decorating only started a few days ago, and with being with family from next weekend, this year's decorations are rather muted compared to previous years.

My collection:

So far, everything is from Lemax, purely because it's the one of the most popular (if not the most popular) brands of Christmas village collectibles, and the brand I've seen most often in garden centres. I'd love to add some custom, likely 3d printed, items to the village, namely buildings that I have a personal connection to, but that is another time-consuming hobby I'm probably better not starting unless I can be sure of committing!
